Meet Our Team

Andy Pritchard

Director

Firstly I must say how immensely proud and lucky I am to work with such a fantastic team at Simple Group.

A dedicated and genuinely lovely group of professionals who will fight tooth and nail for their clients whilst forging strong relationships with lenders who trust their judgement and are keen to work with us when needed to get a deal across the line.

My personal history starts with Royal Bank of Scotland straight from School in Tayside in 1985 then up and down the East Coast of both Scotland and England.

A move away from banking in 2000 into the world of IFA followed which saw the small Hull IFA practice I was a Director of being acquired in late 2006 by a large independent Insurance Brokerage known at the time as The Insurance Partnership.

I was privileged to be part of the formation of a financial services group and was part of the management team for the financial services division (IFA) and also a newly formed commercial financial division.

I launched Simple Commercial Finance in November 2009 right into the “teeth” of the credit crunch aligning the business and myself with the National Association of Commercial Finance brokers (NACFB) for whom I was proud to serve as Director between 2010 – 2013.

Simple Home Loans soon followed focussing on the regulated mortgage market and latterly Simple Commercial Finance (Scotland) will focus primarily on the Scottish market.

I am lucky to have Jacqui by my side and 2 fantastic children Lewis & Freya and whilst I would prefer not to mention my football team, they along with cycling, “the gym” and travel just about keep me sane

I finish where I started with a humble and heartfelt thank you to my colleagues but also the hundreds of customers past and present whom we have helped source Millions of pounds for in all sorts of circumstances and for the many more we look forward to meeting and helping soon.

Consultants

Derek Woodcock

Derek joined Simple Commercial Finance Scotland in 2017 after a 37 year career with The Royal Bank of Scotland. He spent the last 25 of those years in the Business and Commercial Banking Sector, latterly specialising in Tayside’s Tourist & Leisure Industry. Derek is a Chartered Banker and was awarded the Certificate in Lending in 2016.

After spending his younger life in the East Neuk of Fife Derek moved to Perthshire in 1990 where he now enjoys golf, gardening and watching his local football team, St. Johnstone.

Ewan Mcfarlane

Ewan has considerable experience in the Banking Sector having been employed by the Royal Bank of Scotland for 27 years.

The last decade or so of his career he was Business Development Manager, responsible for attracting new Business in Business and Commercial Banking all over the Highlands and Islands – in all he was responsible for bringing around 500 new connections for the Bank the majority within the Hospitality and Leisure Sector.

Ewan brings a wealth of experience and with an eye for detail, a positive approach and a “can do” attitude he often makes the difference in allowing a Clients dreams to become reality

Based in Inverness, he willingly travels the length and breadth of the Highlands and Islands, and can assist in pretty much all Sectors, including Property Investment and Development, helping Sole Traders, Partnerships. Limited Companies and indeed SIPPs.

His wide range of contacts in Accountancy, Legal, and Surveying can often make the difference in bringing a Funding Proposal to life.

Group Systems & Controls

Neil Shaw

After 20 years in Bank Management Neil joined us in 2016. As Systems Control Officer he ensures smooth operation of the Compliance function and acts as an assistant to the Advisors and Principal in terms of systems implementation.

A keen rock climber in his younger days Neil now enjoys the more sedate delights of hillwalking and cycling with some mountain biking thrown in for good measure. Whilst not customer facing he sees the team as his customer base and strives to provide the support they need to fulfil the role of being a first-class financial broking organisation.
